Housing
Ok, first off.. housing... Right now I'm playing SWG, EQ2, and WoW.
WoW-- is an easy one. WoW sucks here because they have no player housing. Period. You'd figure that they would be able to have something simple like this implemented in a fairly easy game to play but they dont. It's sad, very sad. Boo Blizzard, shame on you.
EQ2-- has mediocre housing.
While I will admit, some of the pros are having pets in house (different post entirely tho) is nice and all... it is not exactly the most economical at all. For the longest time, there was an extremely cheap house in Freeport for example. However, the same house on the other side of the pond persay, in Quenos, was more than 2xs the cost of the house. So, of course, it was nerfed.
Pros: You can customize walls, ceilings, and floors with assorted skins. Player crafted furniture can make housing upkeep more economical. You can have pets in house. House vault space for item storage.
Cons: There are no such things as player cities. More than 1 person can own housing in the same place (just in different instances). So less individuality a bit there. Not nearly as economical as it probably should be. For as much as you have to pay for the biggest, more elaborate house with decor, it may seem, to many not even worth it. As it is really only a mere status symbol.
SWG- has some great housing.
Pros: Bigger lots, more customization, more economical. It also has a bit of diversity; since you can mount anything and place it in your house. You can name your house, for all to see. You can live in a player made city.
Cons: Movement of things can be so meticulous, to get items just right. Placing items, should dare I say... be dumbed up a bit here. I don't want to sit in there for hours trying to move something with the horrible controls. Also there is no added vault space for storage.
