character limitations

SWG-- ummm yeah Sony, you blew it here big time. The fact that you can only have one character per server per account, sucks. I understand your want for interdependancy, however, this is a sad way to try and get people to buy more of your game.

EQ2-- believe its 6 toons for a standard account, and 9 for one u pay like $10 for. ... it's not the worst, but it's not outstanding. Not being able to share items between factions means I had to set up 2 separate accounts specifically for this very purpose, or run stuff back and forth between cities. A little bit of a pain in a way, but ehh.. it could be worse I spose

WoW-- well well, gold stars for wow here as far as character creation... you can have unlimited characters per server per account. That part is absolutely great.
Don't get too happy there kiddos tho however, cuz .. boo for making it so you can only play one faction on the server. Here you guys should take a tip from Sony, and just make it so you can't mail items. Making it so that you are unable to communicate with a whole other set of people in an online gaming community... well pardon me, but that's just not cool. Especially if you decide to play on a PvE server. Bah... So close yet so far...

Housing

Ok, first off.. housing... Right now I'm playing SWG, EQ2, and WoW.

WoW-- is an easy one. WoW sucks here because they have no player housing. Period. You'd figure that they would be able to have something simple like this implemented in a fairly easy game to play but they dont. It's sad, very sad. Boo Blizzard, shame on you.

EQ2-- has mediocre housing.
While I will admit, some of the pros are having pets in house (different post entirely tho) is nice and all... it is not exactly the most economical at all. For the longest time, there was an extremely cheap house in Freeport for example. However, the same house on the other side of the pond persay, in Quenos, was more than 2xs the cost of the house. So, of course, it was nerfed.

Pros: You can customize walls, ceilings, and floors with assorted skins. Player crafted furniture can make housing upkeep more economical. You can have pets in house. House vault space for item storage.

Cons: There are no such things as player cities. More than 1 person can own housing in the same place (just in different instances). So less individuality a bit there. Not nearly as economical as it probably should be. For as much as you have to pay for the biggest, more elaborate house with decor, it may seem, to many not even worth it. As it is really only a mere status symbol.

SWG- has some great housing.
Pros: Bigger lots, more customization, more economical. It also has a bit of diversity; since you can mount anything and place it in your house. You can name your house, for all to see. You can live in a player made city.

Cons: Movement of things can be so meticulous, to get items just right. Placing items, should dare I say... be dumbed up a bit here. I don't want to sit in there for hours trying to move something with the horrible controls. Also there is no added vault space for storage. You cant change the way the walls, floor, or ceiling looks.

What this is about

So since I'm playing so many games now, I decided to make a blog to note differences with them. I seem to run into quite a few pros and cons when I'm playing. This is the meticulous catalog I have of em for all of you to gaze at.

(Yes, I will agree... I need more of a life sometimes LOL)
